Its origins date back to 1981, when the Bech family opened their restaurant in Fontanilles, a small town on the Costa Brava. One of their most famous dishes was the "recuit de drap" with candied figs from the Empordà region, a very typical dessert.

It's ideal as an appetizer to accompany a canapé or mixed with Arbequina olive oil for a delicious salad. It's also great with a good pasta dish with fresh tomato and oregano.
