The Artichoke of Tudela

Among the artichokes, the one from Tudela is undoubtedly the best known and most appreciated in our country due to its high quality. It is characterized by its rounded, slightly ellipsoidal shape with a hole in the middle, since the leaves do not come together to close the head. The stem usually measures between 15 and 20 cm., does not have pappus (a kind of hair) inside and stands out for being very tender.

Low in calories, diuretic and cleansing, digestive (rich in fiber) and reduces cholesterol.

The Tudela Artichoke has the “Protected Geographical Indication” (IGP) certification, the highest level of European recognition within the Denominations of Quality Products.

A treasure that Patrick De la Cueva brings us from Tudela (Navarra). Cultivated in organic orchards in the Ribera del Ebro, it is the variety Blanca from Tudela. Tender and harvested just at its optimum moment, shortly after, it is candied in the extra virgin olive oil coupage arbequina and picual De la Cueva, maintaining all its texture and with a simply superior flavor. An extraordinary delicacy to accompany dishes or to eat alone.
